Located on 100 acres nestled against at the base of Fremont Peak, Rancho Cielo Youth Campus provides an inspirational setting where at-risk adolescents, referred through the Probation department, courts, schools and parents, receive schooling, counseling, and vocational training integrated with activities designed to expand and inspire their vision of life's possibilities.
Organized as a non-profit corporation in 2000, Rancho Cielo is just now winding up phase 1 of a 3-step development plan. With offices, classrooms, activities areas, workshops and BBQ plaza complete, the next step begins. Phase 2 plans include a culinary school, restaurant, vegetable gardens, amphitheatre, gym remodel, lake restoration, nature trails, and a vocational center.
The ultimate Rancho Cielo vision is to integrate the community, its youth and their families with a thriving campus rich in opportunity and resources:
•A restaurant staffed by students working with professional chefs.
•A farm where kids grow and market their own crops
•A fishing lake for recreation and food source use
•A Guidance and Vocational Center
•Equestrian program focused upon therapeutic lessons
•Gardens cultivated by students and community gardeners.
•A mechanics shop where students and skilled mechanics restore cars.
•An Art Park for students and local artists to collaborate on sculpture and other art.
Mentors / Volunteers are needed to help fulfill this vision. If you have life skills to share, we need you!
